Easy peasy cheap dinner for two
Since I haven’t had a chance to get my Branson vacation set up yet I had cause to forget the time and didn’t go grocery shopping. Cupboard luckily wasn’t bare.
2 cans of tuna
1/4 cup salad dressing
1 tsp sour cream
four lettuce leaves
1 cup dry seashell pasta
1 celery stalk
1/4 onion
pepper
finely shredded mozzarella
parmesan cheese
Get the water boiling in a two quart saucepan and cook the pasta as directed. Remember to stir every two minutes to prevent sticking at the bottom.
To save time and get consistent bits, I use a mandoline to slice the celery and onion, then do a quick dice on a cutting board. The smaller the bits and longer the dish sits after prep the better the flavors mingle.
Toss all but the pasta in a large bowl, set aside, drain/chill/drain the seashell pasta for five minutes. Toss the pasta in the bowl, fold a few times, pepper to taste (no salt) and move to a smaller bowl that can be sealed. Store in the refrigerator until time to serve.
When ready to serve roll/fold the lettuce leaves and tear off into bite size pieces. Create a bed on each serving plate, top with pasta salad, sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
Serves 2-3 people.
When they steal your eggs
One of the better games I’ve seen that’s ‘free’ is ‘Angry Birds’. Couple of pigs not wanting to separate with their own bacon in the frying pan revert to stealing your offspring…which makes ‘you’ the Angry Bird in this game.
Although it appears to be a standard Flash game, it’s play mechanism is pretty unique compared to many I’ve seen. The writer did a good job in the physics rules area, but not too much it’s overburdened. But then…what did you expect…it’s only a game!
But enough I make it my podTop background.

Upgraded my Clearwire to Clear’s Wimax system today and took advantage of testing out the higher connection. Pretty impressive, no throttling so both my VoiP and online video usage are dramatically improved. I tested the connection four times throughout the day. I’m still getting a 10:1 Upload/Download ratio of speed, but since I’m not doing major archiving this isn’t an issue.
Now with all the gizmo’s I got it’s probably a good time to check cheapinsurance123.com. The more I invest in items for the home, the more the nagging “you need insurance” comment my landlord made three months ago that I needed to get done in 30 days comes to mind.
