Ban recurring spammers by their IP address

Comment spammers. Gotta love ‘em. Recently I’ve been getting a lot of it coming from both New Delhi and Frankfurt. Same root IP address of the first two numbers, same base URL for the email address.
Maybe they’re in search of matching up and getting info on Outer Banks foreclosures, who knows. The point is, it’s time to make a killin’ out of ‘em all.
WordPress users can blacklist any root IP by going to
‘Settings’> ‘Discussion’,
and then adding the partial listing of the IP address of the offending spammer. If they came from 200.23.200.23, but change it regularly the last two…just put in ’200.23′, which bans anyone basically from that central location.
Someone give me the geek wording, and I’ll put it in here. The points made.
