With the hype about iPads, nobody’s talking about ipods. I think that’s a shame. But given the world is wanting what they want, far be it from me to argue.
My take on the iPad?
Bad. Very Bad.
- It’s OS driven, so it won’t be able to serve people outside of the Mac community.
- It’s too early for a true Web3.0 device, simply because the Web3.0 patch has NOT been deployed.
- It’s a known issue that consumers getting into it won’t have the experience to reverse engineer anything on their own. Calls to support will be massive.
- Such calls will ultimately in my opinion result in farming out technical support eventually to India, a matter that destroyed trust of numerous companies since the burst of the bubble of the internet. Research AOL LLC, et al.
