Tomorrow night I’ve got plans of shadowing another outreach after work, after I pick up some shipping boxes. The problems I’ve seen over the last few months have only proven to me more that having faith others will do the right thing leads in many cases lost opportunities.
My wife spent some time the last few weeks touching base with a homeless teen known to our family that grew out of the homeless system while becoming a mother herself.
The thing that pains me the most is that we both know this person to be trying very hard, as well as some of the direct family makeup involved.
We know matters involving specifics, and we also know how easy it is for someone to fall between the cracks when not giving in to abusive authority figures.
